The Gaming Control Board has issued an industry letter releasing proposed revisions to the Minimum Internal Control Standards for industry comment. The letter also announces that workshops will be held to explain the proposed revisions and solicit industry comment. The workshops are scheduled for April 23, 2008 in Carson City and May 2, 2008 in Las Vegas. Please see the letter for details if you are interested in participating in these workshops.

revoked by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

In early 2007, the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada Las Vegas conducted a study of the online gaming attitude and behaviors of Nevadans on behalf of the State Gaming Control Board. The study consisted of a random digit dialed telephone survey of 1,000 Nevada residents and some in depth, open-ended focus group interviews. Please use the link below to view the study.

The University of Nevada Las Vegas – International Gaming Institute provides regulatory seminars to individuals involved in the regulation of gaming. Classes are taught by Gaming Control Board agents on auditing procedures, licensing and background investigations, financial concepts for non-accountants, arbitration, law enforcement and criminal activities. This is the Gaming Control Board's policy regarding wireless gaming devices. These policies should be considered when submitting a system based game with a wireless client. This policy is to be used in conjunction with Nevada Gaming Regulation 14 and all applicable Regulation 14 Technical Standards ( 1 - 4). Please note that there may be accounting and reporting requirements published at a later date.

As discussed at the November 29, 2005 industry workshop, the Gaming Control Board has developed associated equipment review checklists that will be used to evaluate associated equipment compliance with applicable Nevada Revised Statutes, Nevada Administrative Codes and Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations, technical standards and minimum internal control standards.
Manufacturers are encouraged to evaluate all associated equipment submissions, for new and modifications to previously approved associated equipment, against these checklists. Use the link below to access these documents.
